Terms & Conditions

1.  General

These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website at www.ringrosebutchers.co.uk  By accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Using this website indicates that you accept these terms regardless of whether or not you choose to register with us or order from us.  If you do not accept these terms, do not use this website.

2.  Contact Details

Our contact details are as follows:-

Company name:     Ringrose Butchers

Trading address:     78 Main Street, Broughton Astley, Leicestershire, LE9 6RD

General email:          ringrosebutchers@btconnect.com

3.  Pricing Policy

If a product is sold by weight, our butchers endeavour to cut to the exact amount ordered although marginal variations may apply.  As it is impractical to collect small additional payments or process small refunds, we will guarantee that any weight variation never exceeds more or less than 10% from the weight ordered in kilograms (weights shown in pounds and ounces are for information only).

All prices are inclusive of VAT (however nearly all of our products are zero rated for VAT).

Prices exclude delivery charges.

The total purchase price, including delivery charges and VAT, if any, will be displayed in the buyer’s shopping basket prior to confirming the order.

4.  Delivery

You may select our cost-effective delivery service, or call in person at our shop to collect your order.

When placing your order, it is important that someone should be at home to take delivery; if no one is available upon delivery the driver will bring the order back to the shop, and it will be up to you to collect the order from the shop.  If delivery has been attempted then a refund will not be made, if made aware that you will not be home and will collect the order then a full delivery charge refund will be made.  A delivery has deemed to have been ‘attempted’ if the driver spend sufficient time trying to deliver the order with no answer. The delivery shall be deemed to have been made when the consignee accepts delivery in person.  Deliveries will take place between 4.00pm and 6.00pm on Wednesday and Friday, any orders made between these times will be made on the next available delivery unless specified otherwise.

You may opt to collect your order in person from our shop, in which case it will be available for you the next afternoon after placing the order unless a later collection date is specified (orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be available for collection from Tuesday afternoon).  Our shop opening hours are 9.00am to 4.30pm Tuesday to Friday and 8.30am to 3.00pm Saturday.  We are closed on Sunday and Monday.  Goods not collected within two days after they are available for collection will be disposed of, and the order deemed complete.  No refunds can be made for uncollected orders.

6.  Unfulfilled Orders

Because of the seasonal nature of some of our produce and limited supply, it is possible that from time to time we may be unable to fulfil some orders. When seasonal products are unavailable we will try to remove them from the website, however, this is imperfect and sometimes we will be caught short.  If your order is for one specific joint or meal item we will let you know as quickly as possible, within one working day of you placing the order, and offer alternative produce or cancellation at your discretion.  In the event of us having to cancel, we will make an immediate and full refund of any monies paid.  If your order is a large selection of items we reserve the right to substitute products of equal or superior quality and value and of the same type.

7.  Returns

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the quality of the produce received, you should contact us within 24 hours of receipt.  Where products supplied are damaged, incorrect or faulty and you have notified us within 24 hours of delivery of the order, we will either replace the product or issue a full refund to you.  We may request that goods be returned for inspection prior to agreeing any refund at your cost.  You must return the goods to Ringrose Butchers or make them freely available to us, but at your cost.  If you do not freely return the goods at your cost then we reserve the right to deduct any reasonable costs we incur in recovering the goods from you and will deduct this from any refund.  If goods are confirmed to be faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, naturally we will then refund any reasonable delivery costs in returning the goods.  Where a refund is made this will be paid as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days from notification.

8.  Cancellation

We regret that due to the very short timescale involved in processing fresh meat orders, it is not always possible to cancel or amend your order once it has been placed.  If you wish to cancel or amend your order, please contact us by telephone (01455284048) as soon as possible.  If your order has not yet been processed, we may be able to cancel or amend the order.  In the event of an order being cancelled, we will make a full refund of any monies paid as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days from cancellation.

9.  Non-Delivery Claims

In the event of your order failing to arrive when expected, please contact us by email or by telephone within 24 hours of the expected delivery quoting your order number.  We will immediately investigate and let you know the situation.  Should your order not be delivered within one working day of the date given in the website acknowledgement, you will be entitled to a full and immediate refund.  However, we shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of our obligations if the delay or failure results from events or circumstances outside our reasonable control including, but not limited to, failure of any communications, telecommunications or computer system, breakdown of machinery or shortage or unavailability of raw materials from a source of supply, and we shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of our obligations.
